Turning 50. Menopause. Stubborn Weight.

I turned 50. Menopause is here. My body feels different.

The scale stalls. Some weeks it creeps up. Plateau. Then gain. Inflammation shows up too. Puffy. Sore joints. A face that looks a little tired.

I work out. I eat a high protein diet, with the occasional sweet on the weekend. I do the same things I’ve always done. Still, things shift. Clothes fit weird. My middle hangs on to everything. Energy dips for no clear reason.

South Asian kid here. Clean-plate, no-waste. Respect the food. Don’t leave a grain. That voice is still in my head. Old habits, strong roots.

I talk to friends. Same story. We’re doing the “right” things. Results? Slower. Smaller. Sometimes nothing.

I’m also curious about Retatrutide, a GLP-1/GIP medication. I haven’t started anything. I’m just reading and thinking. No decisions. Just wondering if it belongs in this season.

No tips. No fixes. Just how it feels right now.

I’ll add one here later.

To be continued.
